Amanda Gaston

About
Amanda is a litigation attorney whose practice focuses on employment law, complex civil litigation, insurance coverage, and bad faith matters. She advises insurers, employers, and municipalities on risk assessment, coverage analysis, and litigation strategy, and represents clients through all phases of litigation.
Prior to joining Clawson and Staubes, Amanda served as an Assistant Solicitor with the Fifth Judicial Circuit Solicitor’s Office in Columbia, South Carolina. There, she prosecuted a high-volume caseload and tried numerous cases to jury verdict, including murder, attempted murder, burglary, and criminal sexual conduct matters. She also worked closely with local law enforcement as the domestic violence prosecutor for the City of Columbia. Her experience in the courtroom informs her strategic and practical approach to litigation and client advocacy.
Amanda earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology, cum laude, from Clemson University and her Juris Doctor from the University of South Carolina School of Law. While in law school, she served on the Executive Council of the Student Bar Association and was an active member of the Mock Trial Bar.
Outside the office, Amanda enjoys attending concerts, tackling home renovation projects, and spending time with her two dachshunds.
