Cole Goode

About
Cole earned his Juris Doctor from Texas Tech University School of Law, where he was an active member of the Health Law Society and participated in both mock trial and negotiation competitions. During his time at Texas Tech, he was a member of the ABA National Negotiations Team. He was also recognized with the Pro Bono Achievement Award for his commitment to community service. Cole completed his undergraduate studies at Dallas Baptist University, earning a B.A. in Criminal Justice with a minor in Psychology. He was named Honor Student for the Class of 2019 by the College of Humanities.
In addition to his legal education, Cole completed formal leadership training through the U.S. Army ROTC program at The Citadel. His formative years were spent at the Marine Military Academy, a college preparatory military boarding school in South Texas. This time included military-style training and various leadership roles. Cole ultimately served on Battalion Staff as a Captain at the Marine Military Academy, where he was responsible for managing operations for over 250 cadets. He also gained valuable perspective from working in various service and support roles before entering the legal profession, helping to ground his work ethic and people-first approach.
Cole began his legal career in 2022, and his practice has focused primarily on civil litigation and insurance defense. He has experience handling all phases of litigation, particularly in automobile accidents and insurance coverage disputes, and has also worked on matters involving foreclosure, bankruptcy, contract disputes, and business litigation. Cole has represented regional banks, businesses, and governmental agencies, and has appeared regularly in courts across South Carolina. He previously clerked with two civil litigation law firms and a district attorney’s office, where he supported attorneys in medical malpractice, employment law, and general felony prosecution.
A Texas native now proud to call South Carolina home, Cole lives in the Upstate with his wife, two dogs, and a cat. Outside the office, he is an avid golfer, powerlifter, and a self-taught guitarist. He’s also committed to giving back, serving as a board member for Sleep Tight Kids, a 501(c)(3) organization supporting underprivileged children in the Upstate and Western North Carolina.
