About

Emily Rose Carlton supports the firm’s civil litigation practice with a strong foundation in legal research, case development, and client advocacy. Emily Rose holds a Bachelor of Science in Marketing from Clemson University, where she graduated cum laude with minors in Legal Studies and Brand Communications. She earned multiple academic distinctions, including the President’s List and Dean’s List and participated in an international business law program in Rome, Italy. As a Business Mathematics Tutor at Clemson University’s Academic Success Center, she worked one-on-one with students to improve their quantitative skills, demonstrating patience, clarity, and the ability to break down complex concepts. She also served as an Aspire to Be Well Facilitator within Clemson’s Healthy Campus initiative, where she led wellness-focused programming designed to promote healthy decision-making, demonstrating empathy, leadership, and a commitment to public service. Emily Rose went on to earn her Juris Doctor from New York Law School. While in law school, she was honored with the Dean’s Leadership Award for the Class of 2023, received the Dean’s Scholarship, and was named to the Dean’s List multiple semesters. As Program Co-Coordinator for the Courtroom Advocates Project, Emily Rose played a key role in organizing pro bono support for survivors of domestic violence and coordinating student involvement and training. She also served as an Affiliate of the Impact Center for Public Interest Law, a hub for students pursuing work in social justice and community engagement.

Prior to law school, Emily Rose worked as a Stylist for a fashion boutique in New York City.

Earlier in her career, Emily Rose worked as a Summer Associate at Rickner PLLC, a civil rights firm in New York City, where she drafted memoranda on critical constitutional issues, including excessive force and due process. She contributed to a high-profile class action lawsuit against the City of New York on behalf of individuals detained at Rikers Island. She also interned at a major prosecutor’s office on Staten Island, NY – first in Criminal Court and later with the Domestic Violence Bureau.

Emily Rose is a born and raised New Yorker and a big Rangers fan. She enjoys spending time with her Chihuahua named Frank, going to the beach, and trying new restaurants in the area.
