Jeremy Foster

Jeremy has been practicing as a litigator in Charlotte, North Carolina since 2007 and joined Clawson & Staubes in 2018. He is licensed to practice in both North Carolina and South Carolina. He has significant experience representing clients in cases involving automobile liability, premises liability, products liability, construction defects, and bad faith litigation and has tried dozens of cases to jury verdict in District and Superior Courts throughout North Carolina. Jeremy has represented individuals, small business owners, local school boards, community colleges, insurance carriers and national corporations. He is experienced in appellate law, as well, having handled many matters before the North Carolina Court of Appeals and the North Carolina Supreme Court. Jeremy's practice also includes advising carriers on insurance coverage issues, providing coverage opinions, and prosecuting and defending actions for declaratory judgment.

Jeremy was born and raised in Virginia. He graduated from Roanoke College in 2001 with a B.A. in English. After graduation, Jeremy worked in the insurance industry for three years before enrolling at the University of Miami School of Law. During law school, Jeremy's coursework focused on civil litigation, including participating in the school's intensive Litigation Skills program where he argued before State and Federal judges on a weekly basis. He also clerked for an insurance defense firm in Miami, Florida during his second and third years of law school, providing him with real-world litigation experience while still in school. Jeremy graduated in 2007 and was admitted to the North Carolina Bar that same year. He was admitted to the South Carolina Bar in 2020.

When not practicing law, Jeremy enjoys spending time with his wife and their three daughters.
