About

Justin is an associate in the Columbia office of Clawson & Staubes where his practice focuses on insurance defense and civil litigation. Justin graduated with honors from Wofford College in 2010 with a B.A. degree in Economics and Government. He was elected to the Judicial Commission for three years and served as chairman. Justin was a member of Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity and was awarded brother of the year. He also ran varsity cross country and track and field for three years and served on the student athlete advisory committee.

Justin attended Charleston School of Law and graduated with a Juris Doctor degree in 2013. In law school, he served on the Honor Council and worked as a law clerk for the U.S. Attorney’s Office for two years. He was admitted to the South Carolina Bar in 2013.

Justin began his legal career as a law clerk for the Honorable R. Knox McMahon in the South Carolina Circuit Court. He then spent more than three years as an Assistant Attorney General at the South Carolina Attorney General's Office, where he handled hundreds of post-conviction relief hearings and appeals across the state. Justin continued his legal career at a large insurance defense firm, where he primarily handled workers’ compensation matters. He joined Clawson & Staubes in 2024 to focus on civil litigation.
